Parts Associate

A Truck Repair company is looking for a motivated and computer-literate individual to work as a Parts Associate. This is a fast-paced position and requires someone who can multitask. Mechanical and parts knowledge of heavy duty trucks. This person will need to have great comprehensive skills for learning parts and how they function to be successful in the position.

Duties are as follows but are not limited to:

• Corresponding and establishing relationships with vendors for ordering parts and processing returns;
• Adhering to the established process for daily receiving of all incoming parts;
• Entering parts into company system
• In a safe and timely manner, perform parts runs in company vehicle to pick up parts;
• Locate items in the warehouse as needed;
• Inform Shop Manager of parts needed for stock and for upcoming jobs as well as any discrepancies in inventory quantities;
• Put parts away;
• Taking part orders;
• Warehouse work;
• Receiving;

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Prefer a minimum of one year warehouse and parts experience;
• Proficient computer skills;
• Great customer service skills;
• Have a valid driver’s license;
• Knowledge of parts for heavy duty trucks;
• Experience in Shipping/Receiving;
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

This job is a Monday-Friday position with occasional Saturday work. Overtime is required if needed.

The company does not offer any health benefits at this time but this position does get 1 week vacation after the first year of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
